A few times a year, I host week-long AKT retreats in different locations around the world. I get together with a group of women who are looking to reprogram their bodies with a high energy, sweat-filled fitness program. At our retreats we combine high-intensity workouts with sustainable nutrition plans, and I hold Q&A sessions and fitness consultations for our attendees. The participants are challenged physically and mentally over the course of the week, and they leave feeling inspired, energized, and ready to take on their fitness goals.
Last month we had an AKT retreat at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa in Ojai, California. It was an incredible time in a beautiful setting, and I got to train with with a group of dedicated ladies. What I packed for that week-long intensive was pretty much what I bring with me on any vacation. For me, fitness is part of any journey, whether its a retreat or a sunny holiday getaway.
Here’s what I always bring in my Raden luggage:
I pack my favorite workout gear: Ultracor pants, Alo Infinite Bras, and lots of Monrow Slub Relaxed Crew Tees. I always have my cotton Nike bomber jacket as a layering piece—it comes in handy during the nighttime. If I am on a retreat, some days we work out twice a day, so I pack two pairs of sneakers: ASICS GEL-Kayano Lites and my beloved custom Nike Zoom gifted to me by Cayli Cavaco Reck.
My Sisley facial mist is a must, and I also bring my Barbara Sturm Hyaluronic Serum and Drunk Elephant’s Vitamin C Serum. I also use the Drunk Elephant Umbra Tinte Physical Daily Defense, which not only gives me protection against the sun, but also provides light coverage.
TECH & EXTRAS
Of course I always have my iPhone with me, as well as my UE portable speakers for my room. And to make my room feel (and smell!) a little more like home, I bring mini NEST candles. They help me relax.
