Rose Tequila Makes A Perfect Margarita
In The Kitchen

It Exists, And Yes, Rosé Tequila Makes The Perfect Margarita

Good news travels fast, and news about rosé tequila travels even faster.

Is it an overstatement to say our dreams came true when we read about this gorgeous concoction in New Beauty? It’s a tequila “rosa” from Codigo, “rested” for a month in Napa Valley Cabernet barrels, which imparts a tender pink color without interfering too much with the delicate flavors of tequila.

The best way to enjoy this gorgeous rosé tequila is in a spicy pink margarita, of course, recipe courtesy Pressed Juicery. Is there a better cocktail? Maybe just the ones our nutritionists recommend—and maybe we can get them to approve this one, too.

Spicy Pink Watermelon Margarita

2 oz Código 1530 Rosa Tequila

3 oz Pressed Juicery Watermelon Lime Jalapeno Juice

 ¾ oz Fresh Lime Juice

 ¼ Teaspoon Jalapeno-infused Agave

 Fresh Jalapeno, sliced (optional)

 Kosher Salt (as garnish)

Directions: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in the watermelon jalapeño juice, tequila, lime juice and agave. Shake for 30 seconds. Top cocktail with jalapeño slices, if desired.
