curious to your thoughts on the best treatments for the neck? I.e. slack, sagging skin and those neck bands that start to show/droop after 50yrs.

pisces-05-13-15, i was wondering if anyone has had one of the mini facelifts advertised on tv and if so was it successful and how long did they noticed results or was it even worth the cost and pain?

Hello Charlotte. I have Rosacea. It is quite pronounced on my forehead and nose/cheek area. I am on medication for an autoimmune disorder that seems to make the red, thick and scaly areas worse. My skin has always been sensitive/dry. Now a big concern is finding the best brand foundation that will cover both the unaffected skin AND the red area of my face until I wash it off at night. I’m 57 years old and it is more important to me than ever to find the right makeup coverage. My daughter suggests going to Nordstrom makeup counters and try Mac, Bobbi Brown and Clinique make overs to find what works but it there a better, less time consuming way to accomplish my goal?

I’ve been hearing about rose hips for a long time now and I’m very interested in incorporating them into my diet and skin care routine. I live in rural Arkansas so it’s very difficult to find anything locally outside of the mainstream. Can you please direct me how to procure quality sources online?

    Dear Charlotte,
I suffer from rough patches and small, acne-like bumps on the back of my arms called Keratosis pilaris. This condition is common with almost 50% of the population so I would imagine there would be better, more effective treatment. As treatment I’ve been using medicated creams containing lactic acid and salicylic acid that focus on softening the keratin deposits in the skin as well as ointments with cortisone to reduce redness. However, the results are not great and the rough patches and bumps reappear often regardless of the treatment. I am posting this hoping to learn about other CB members experiences dealing with this persistent nuisance.

Dear Charlotte’s Book – sometimes I read that I am too young to start using Retin-A and other times I read that Retin-A is the save all/be all anti-aging product and you can’t start too young…. I am asking Charlotte– what’s the right answer? I am age 28.
