Get Glowing With This Skinny Grapefruit + Green Smoothie

I get asked all the time, “how do you get your glowing skin?” My response is always, eat your greens. In this case, you should drink your greens!

Greens are uplifting to the spirit and high in antioxidants called phytonutrients. Those antioxidants fight free radicals that can cause aging, and eating or drinking a variety of greens each day ensures that you’re getting a variety to nourish your body.

This week I was inspired by a big bag of organic grapefruits and some reading I’d done about grapefruit and its cleansing properties. Grapefruit is beneficial for weight loss, cleansing, detoxification, and boosting your energy.

This smoothie recipe is a double whammy of goodness, and I love the way it tastes. Get the glow baby!


1 head romaine lettuce
1 large cucumber
4 leaves kale
1 whole grapefruit, peeled
16-20 oz. pure water


Simplicity rules with this one! Just blend in your high speed blender and enjoy. You could add banana for sweetness, and celery or parsley would be nice too.
