It's Hot In L.A.—AKT Fitness Opens Pop-Up Classes
The New York-based fitness phenomenon we're totally in love with—AKT, or Anna Kaiser Technique, named for the awesome founder—is hosting four pop-up classes in Los Angeles this November. The classes, famous for their blend of dance, kickboxing, yoga, plyometrics, and strength training, are the antidote for any bored, trend-based, painfully repetitive routine you're currently on. A few months ago, our founder Robin Shobin spent a few days with Anna Kaiser and was completely convinced. Sessions run 60 or 75 minutes, and the L.A. version will be taught by Master Trainer and Director of Professional Development Ariel Hoffman. The classes will be taught at Pacific Arts Center starting Wednesday, November 2nd at 9:00 a.m., then a 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. class Thursday, 9:00 a.m. Friday, and a closing class on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Classes will be $30 each. The beauty of these classes are that even a newbie, someone with no experience dancing or doing yoga, can catch on quickly. "The only way to sustain true fitness is to feel you're growing, achieving, and moving toward something bigger," says Anna, and we agree—to sign up, send a note to firstname.lastname@example.org and check this link for updates.
