Is There An Eye Product That Actually Gets Rid Of Eye Bags?
The holy grail: an eye product that actually works. Those under-eye bags are what shows first when you're tired, when you're stressed, when you're not wearing any makeup, and they're tough to erase. Does anything truly work? Will they ever disappear? Is the only solution sleep? We talked to Christina Biscardi, a medical esthetician at Russak Dermatology, to unpack this reader question.
Q—CHARLOTTE’S BOOK READER
Is there a cosmetic eye cream or gel that actually reduces under-eye bags? Is there anything else I can do to fix the situation?
A—CRISTINA BISCARDI
Under-eye bags are always a big concern for people. Instead of creams, I find that eye serums or gels actually work best for bags specifically. Sometimes creams can be too heavy for the eye area, especially if wrinkles aren’t necessarily the main concern. One of my current faves is AOX eye gel by SkinCeuticals. It’s loaded with antioxidants like vitamin C, which helps brighten the dark circles, therefore reducing the appearance puffiness and tired eyes. It always helps to seek out a professional to see if maybe treatments, like lasers or fillers are an option as well.
