From Vintage Cartier To A Week At Malibu Ranch, This Is The Charlotte's Book Community Wish List: What We Really, Really Want
Wish lists are fun. We all want something, whether it's a pile of diamonds, an empty inbox, or an escape into the mountains of Malibu. Making a list doesn't make it reality, but it brings us one step closer, doesn't it? We wanted a peek inside the hopes and dreams of the Charlotte's Book girl gang, so we asked them what they wanted for the holidays—we compiled it all here, and it's a great list. From time with family to facials to acupuncture to yoga to whiter teeth, check out what our CB Community most wants for the holidays. "As the end of the year draws to a close, I am craving rejuvenation and renewal, namely in the form of a week-long trip to the The Ranch in Malibu (an upgrade from the R4.0 trek I did last summer ) and glow-producing monthly facials from Georgia Louise."
- Michele Promaulayko, Editor-in-Chief of Cosmopolitan
"My holiday wish list is specific because my husband and I are about to close on a new house. Aside from wanting Hillary Clinton to be president, I would love the Nest heating and cooling system, anything from House of Intuition, and this amazing set of Takeda knives that would put my SHUN's to shame."
- Amy Rosoff Davis, celebrity trainer
"Not to sound cliché but I seriously would love the luxury of time. That combined with a shared experience with a loved one is my ultimate gift."
- Dr. Shereene Idriss, dermatologist
"There are so many things on my mind. Firstly, I'm obsessed with crystals. I just re-decorated my guest room in my home and really want a massive crystal quartz healing point (at least 30 pounds) similar to the one I have in my main treatment room at SB SKIN. Next up, I'm a clog lunatic. I have about 20 pairs; it's what I'm able to wear all day and not hurt my feet or back from standing from morning until night. I want these knee high shearling high-heeled boots. Third, a cool new air filter that doesn't look like I'm in a hospital. I have my eye on this one from Free People. And jewelry is always perfect, so anything from Soraya! She is one of my closest friends and she knows me and what I like. I always allow her to create something special for me and I always fall in love with it. I'm due for some diamonds!"
- Shamara Bondaroff, Microcurrent Guru of SB Skin
"For the holidays, I would absolutely love the new Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer. I don't dry my hair enough to justify it, but what a special gift! A vintage Cartier... something with a dash of history that I can wear everyday. And lastly, an empty inbox—that would mean every email I still need to respond to would be properly addressed. Priceless."
- Rachel Anise, aka The Beauty Professor
"Besides a unicorn barista to make me matcha lattes? I would ask Santa for a trip to the Uluwatu Surf Villas in Bali to surf for a week, then definitely for a dinner at my favorite Sushi spot O Ya and for a 12 pack of pilates sessions at East River Pilates so I can work off the inevitable holiday jiggle I'm about to add on."
- Paige Bourassa, acupuncturist
"All I want for Christmas is a whitening sesh with Gisele Bundchen's dentist of choice, the lovely Dr. Gregg Lituchy, and a sizable pack of workouts at NYC's DogPound."
- Stephanie Fantauzzi, actress and Charlotte's Book contributor
"I want ten million plants for my new apartment, a honeymoon to somewhere warm (and wavy), and a bunch of organic/all-natural skincare like Love + Sage (their Beach Rose lip balm is the bomb), PLANT Apothecary's Rice & Clean cleanser (simple and gentle) and Captain Blankenship's Petal Gentle Face Mask (it smells incredible). And! Because the holidays turn me into a stress case (#thanksfam) I would love a gift certificate for some acupuncture."
- Rachel Miller, Charlotte's Book Editor
"My wish list is full of beauty products. I'm dying to try Orlane's Compact Foundation SPF 50. It's a foundation with Vitamin E that is good for my skin and has SPF 50. Sounds too good? SkinMedica AHA Exfoliating Cleanser. I tried this when staying at a friend’s place and loved it. SugarBear Vitamins: I haven’t tried it but it’s gone viral and I’m curious to see if it works. Organic Pharmacy Rose Facial Spritz Toner is on my radar. It looks so refreshing and I love the smell of rose! And speaking of rose—my fave Byredo has a new fragrance that also sounds amazing."
- Danielle Huthart, Charlotte's Book creative direction and web design
"I am very practical, so I love to get thing useful Christmas presents like socks or pretty plant pots. I am lucky that my sister often makes me a lovely homemade gift, like the pen and ink of my plant collection she gave me this summer. I also love an experience gift. One year my sister-in-laws got me and husband a night away at the Grand Hotel in Brighton: for parents of a young child that was a pretty amazing gift."
- Daniela Turley, medical herbalist
"I'd love a spa day at the new Four Seasons downtown. Is that too extravagant? I'd love a refill on some of my Mila Moursi products: I love her face cream and her oil. And I've been dying to try the Anti-Stress mask from CellCosmet ever since Amy Rosoff Davis discussed it in her interview. Plus Sky Ting Yoga just opened near my apartment in Tribeca—I'd take a gift card there. Oh, and I've been wanting the Bose QuietComfort 25 Acoustic Over‑Ear Headphones in white. Hubbie—are you listening? "
