Dr. Dennis Gross is NYC's go-to cosmetic dermatologist for a skin rejuvenating peel—whether you want to visit his 900 5th Avenue practice for a medical strength version or do it yourself with an at-home system. The Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Daily Face Peel has long been an editor favorite for maintaining one's glow on your own.

The Alpha Beta Medi-Spa Peel, inspired by his own in-office medi-spa menu, is a two-step system packed with antioxidants and acids proven to help fight the signs of aging. It only takes about five minutes and is meant to be used weekly, preferably in the evening so you don't have to worry about sun exposure immediately after applying it. This patented peel helps to create a smoother, more even toned complexion, boost collagen production to tighten and firm your skin, and nourish your skin with deep long-lasting hydration. For best results, Dr. Gross advises to use it along with his daily peel.

Step 1: This step does the heavy lifting, removing the top layer of dead skin cells to reduce wrinkle depth, blocked pores, irritations and dark spots, while improving cell renewal, brightness and overall skin health. The multi-acid concentrate contains 15 powerful acids (more than double the amount found in his original daily peel), such as glycolic, lactic, mandelic, malik, salicylic, gallic and linoleic acids, but surprisingly doesn't irritate your skin. The real star ingredient is a unique antioxidant called rehmannia glutinous root extract, which maintains its anti-aging powers even when mixed with the acids. Apply a presoaked pad to clean dry skin using broad strokes, and let it work for about 3 to 5 minutes.

Step 2: Massage on the peptide milk to neutralize the skin and enhance the benefits of the acids. It's loaded with retinol, hyaluronic acid, peptides, ceramides and coconut fruit juice to hydrate, plump, firm and tone the skin.

My suggestion? Make it a part of your Sunday night ritual. I use it right before plunking on the couch to watch Homeland and Boardwalk Empire, after which all I have to do is crawl into bed and wake up to a great glow to kick off the work week.
