It's hard to believe that summer is almost over, which means one thing—red carpet season is sneaking up on us. Which means most celebrities have been preening and primping for weeks to get red carpet ready. And, of course, that all starts with gorgeous skin, and they spare no expense getting their glow on. Skincare-guru-to-the-stars Mila Moursi (Jennifer Aniston, Laura Prepon, Arianna Huffington and Vanessa Williams are just a few of her devotees) signs many of her celebrity clients up for an intensive 6-week beauty bootcamp leading up to any major red carpet event, especially if they've been too busy globe-trotting to make it into her Mila Moursi Skincare Institute in Los Angeles for regular maintenance appointments. Each week, a client is scheduled for a 90-minute Global Anti-Age Rejuvenation Treatment (a series of 6 costs $2,400) and a 90-minute Alternating Body Detoxifying and Conditioning Plus Treatment (a series of 6 costs $2,250). Often clients have them done simultaneously to save time—all hands on deck, right? The facial is customized to their specific skin needs to naturally contour and regenerate the skin. It incorporates dry contouring massage techniques combined with intensive serums, creams, and specific masks to lift, tone, brighten and rejuvenate the skin. Ultrasound, microcurrent, and LED are used as well to tighten and lift the skin. To ensure all body parts are ready for those plunging necklines and thigh-high slits, the body treatment detoxifies, exfoliates, and brightens from head to toe. It starts off with a good sweat-inducing detoxifying wrap, followed by a body scrub and soothing soak in a hydrotherapy tub. The treatment ends with a customized massage, often including lymphatic drainage to contour and combat cellulite. Extra skin-tightening technologies such as radio frequency or cavitation are also used. Moursi's at-home advice to maintain the momentum: drink hot water with lemon every morning, kick back a few apple cider vinegar shots, and, of course, get a full 8-hours of beauty sleep. Remember, you don't have to be a celebrity to be treated like one. Moursi offers treatments at Barney's New York. Yes, the casual days of summer are numbered, as the glamorous fall season rolls in.
