It’s nearly mid-November. Oh shoot. Which means you better start at least thinking about some holiday gifts now. Here’s my best gift guide as head into the holiday season.
For your best friend:
I am obsessed with Jones Road Beauty. I have written about my love of Jones Road often. Anything in the line makes the most amazing gift. It’s my go-to for friend gifting. I use the Lip and Cheek stick in Mauve Rose and the Miracle Balm in Tawny. I usually gift a Miracle Balm because it’s so versatile. If you are worried about choosing a color, you can always opt for the everything brush. Cost: Between $38-$82
For your mom:
A lean & clean quick start program with Jennifer Hanway is a great gift to give and a truly special gift to receive. It includes an 8 Week Metabolic Reset Diet and hormone optimization program. Jennifer’s program isn’t just a diet program about weight loss (otherwise I would definitely not suggest it as a gift!), her program is about optimizing your health and hormone health as well. I don’t know a mother who wouldn’t love getting this. Cost: $697.
For your mother-in-law:
A great book is always a great gift. I’ve been reading On Our Best Behavior by Elise Loehnen. Elise Loehnen is the host of Pulling the Thread. She has co-written twelve books, five of which were New York Times bestsellers. She was the chief content officer of goop, and co-hosted The goop Podcast. In this latest book, Loehnen uses the seven deadly sins to track the ways in which women are encouraged to mute their own desires. It is a manifesto for happiness rather than busyness. Your mother-in-law will love diving into this introspective look at female behavior and impulses over time. And it will give you a ton to talk about over the coming year. Grab a copy for yourself as well. Cost: $22
For your sister:
The Sex & Good Oh Mega Bundle is a the perfect fun gift to give your younger or your older sister. This special gummy blend includes a mix of omega 3-6-9 (Alpha-Linolenic Acid, Linoleic Acid, and Oleic Acid) and DHA to help your body with the foundations of sexual wellness. I eat two of these daily. There isn’t a female who can’t benefit from eating these. This kit also includes the OMG formula, a libido booster that has horny goat weed and maca to help increases blood flow to your vagina. Amen sister! Cost: $65
For your sister-in-law:
Again, I’d go with a book. A book is always so great to give because it feels so personal and it creates something you can share and talk about going forward. 101 Essays That Will Change The Way You Think by Brianna West is a collection of essays that include why you should pursue purpose over passion, embrace negative thinking, see the wisdom in daily routine, and become aware of the cognitive biases that are creating the way you see your life. It’s an easy to read an inspiring book to start of a brand new year. Cost: $16
For your husband:
How annoying is cold coffee? What about a temperature controlled smart mug? This one from Ember looks cool, has amazing Amazon reviews, and is controlled with an App on your phone. Cost: $196
For your son:
The Big Bertha Foam Roller and Water Bottle in one. For soccer, basketball, or any other sport your kids do, you can take this cleverly designed water bottle with you and get some post sport recovery. I love the cool camo design. Cost: $60
For your daughter:
These Taylor Swift Pajamas are insanely cool. I sort of want a pair for myself as well. Cost: $50
Most importantly, for yourself:
This hair oil and scalp massager kit by Acetite is a great little self gift. I absolutely love my scalp massager. I use it all the time. I love this kit because it comes with a really great scalp oil. And all at a great price. Adding this tiny routine into your evening is good for your hair, your scalp, and it just feels good. Cost: $33
Oh yeah, one more gift for yourself:
At least once a year I treat myself to a full spa day, sometimes I treat myself to a spa week. January is a great time to do it. It sets the tone for the new year and washes away all of the holiday madness. I have had several groups of women come up to my house upstate and book 1-2 nights to just be alone and steam, get a massage, and get a facial. Did I mention the part about being alone? Most of my solo guests or groups of women have been booking Monday and Tuesday evenings to reserve some quiet time. Taking a day off from their families and even if it means working remote, they have a peaceful and quiet day to themselves. Grab a morning hike or a morning yoga session. My favorite microrcurrent specialist is nearby or you can easily order in a massage after you have spent the afternoon lounging in the aromatherapy steam shower. Go alone or with a friend. Hit me up on instagram or on Airbnb for a special reader discount code. The house is also fully stocked with all my favorite beauty and wellness brands.
