Yes!!! You absolutely can. Hollywood just needs to accept that women over 60 are allowed to age like human beings, not milk. 😂 A little cleanup on aisle 9 is entirely reasonable.
I have so many thoughts about this; for the most part agree with you. But I think you missed an important point. Of course, they’re not supposed to look like the person standing behind you at Trader Joe’s. But without their posse of stylists, often they would. I think there are (among other kinds) two kinds of faces: those made for IRL and those made for the camera. Camera face—worked on to some degree or another—looks great for the camera, and, well, different, IRL. Some look scary; some look plain; some look beautiful though unglamorous. The problem for me is that many women believe these actresses who seem to be evading aging actually look, when they wake up in the morning, the way they do on the red carpet and the screen, or some slightly disheveled version of that. And they forget or don't understand that it's a lovely fiction. And I think the damage incurred from that belief is important.
