Protini Is Here! Drunk Elephant's New Polypeptide Cream Has Arrived
Drunk Elephant's anticipated new product, the Protini Polypeptide Cream, launched this week, and we were at the launch event in NYC to get all the details about the unique moisturizer. The launch was hosted by DE's Tiffany Masterson and Leandra Medine Cohen (aka the woman behind Man Repeller), who's both a DE fan and investor. Beauty influencers and skincare gurus sipped on bright blue cocktails (a nod to Protini's packaging) at Gramercy Park Hotel's Rose Bar. The new day and night cream, which Tiffany lovingly calls the "get-shit-done moisturizer", is protein- and peptide-rich, and replenishes the skin and restores its health and strength. Filled with nine different peptides, marula oil, waterlily stem cell extract, and a whole host of amino acids, the moisturizer does its job without any skin-hurting ingredients. Why Protini? The name was inspired by the protein shots Tiffany adds to her smoothie every morning for muscle support. (The collagen-infused, non-alcoholic shots were being served at the launch, too!) Tiffany wanted to create a moisturizer that would add a boost of protein to the skin, the same way her protein smoothies boost her body. (We checked out Tiffany's full supplement routine when we invaded her house in Houston!) The resulting combination of protein, peptides, and nutrients in the Protini makes the skin look younger, firmer, and more strengthened. You can use the Protini as a moisturizer on its own, but you can also add a shot of it to other Drunk Elephant products to give them a protein boost. You'd think that with all of the goodies packed into the cream, it would be heavy—but it's not! The moisturizer is light and melts into your skin. We love the packaging, too. You don't have to dip your fingers into the pot: instead, you press down on the top, and the perfect amount of the polypeptide cream is released. We're sold. Look out for our full review of the Protini soon! And if you can't wait to get your hands on it, you can find it here.
